Job Description
Position summary
The Senior Business Analyst and Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a multi-market Salesforce programme covering Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud. The programme spans three markets, each with its own stakeholders, integration dependencies and go-live timeline.
The role combines business analysis and project management. The successful candidate will translate client requirements into clear, buildable specifications for the development team, and will own the delivery plan, risk management, dependency tracking and stakeholder reporting across all markets. The role acts as the primary point of coordination between the client, the agency team and the developers, and requires a high degree of structure, organisation and independence.
Key responsibilities
Business analysis
- Lead discovery and requirement workshops with client stakeholders and document outcomes to an agreed standard.
- Produce user stories and acceptance criteria that are complete, prioritised and ready for development.
- Maintain the functional scope for each market and ensure all changes are documented and traceable.
- Prepare UAT scripts, coordinate UAT execution with the client and manage defect triage through to closure.
- Define integration requirements between Salesforce and the client's ERP and middleware in collaboration with the technical leads.
Project management
- Own and maintain the delivery plan across all three markets.
- Manage the RAID log and ensure risks, issues and decisions are raised early through the agreed governance.
- Produce weekly status reports for client and internal stakeholders.
- Track and manage client-side dependencies, including data readiness, third-party systems and approvals.
- Run the sprint and release cadence with the development team and ensure priorities are agreed ahead of each sprint.
- Manage change requests from identification through estimation and approval.
- Lead client conversations on scope, timeline and priorities within the agreed commercial framework.
Skills and competencies
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with a track record of maintaining accurate delivery plans, backlogs and trackers across parallel workstreams.
- Highly structured working style, producing documentation and reporting that is clear, current and easy for others to pick up.
- Proven ability to work closely with development teams, translating business requirements into clear, buildable user stories and managing backlog priorities.
- Sound judgement on scope and feasibility, with the ability to align client expectations with what the team has sized and committed to.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to lead client discussions independently and to escalate through the correct channels.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with a disciplined approach to follow-up and closing actions.
Qualifications and experience
Essential
- Eight or more years in delivery roles, with a strong track record on Salesforce programmes.
- Hands-on delivery experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud. Marketing Cloud experience is a strong advantage.
- Experience managing mixed onshore and offshore development teams in an agile or hybrid setup.
- Experience delivering across multiple markets or entities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Jira or an equivalent backlog and delivery tool, and in producing plans, RAID logs and status reports.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Desirable
- Automotive or dealer network experience.
- Exposure to MuleSoft or similar integration middleware and ERP integrations.
- Salesforce certifications, for example Administrator, Business Analyst or Sales Cloud Consultant.
- Experience in an agency or consultancy environment with multiple client stakeholders.
