Salesforce Marketing Cloud SME

Position Overview: -

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Salesforce Marketing SME to join our team at our onsite location in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the architecture and design of large, custom-built Salesforce Marketing Cloud transformation programmes. This is a senior technical leadership position, responsible for acting as the Design Authority and ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable, and maintainable Salesforce solutions that meet the highest standards for production readiness.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Architectural Review & Design: Review, validate, and enhance the architecture and design of large-scale, custom Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions for transformation programmes. Ensure alignment with business goals, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Design Authority: Act as a Design Authority, setting technical standards and ensuring adherence to architectural best practices across all project phases.
  • Production Readiness: Guarantee that systems are built with comprehensive production maintainability, including:
  • Robust error handling and logging frameworks
  • Audit trail mechanisms for compliance and traceability
  • Data archiving strategies for retention and retrieval
  • Security, performance, and reliability considerations
  • Team Estimation & Building: Estimate appropriate team size and skillsets required for post go-live support and maintenance. Lead the team-building process, including recruitment and onboarding.
  • Knowledge Transfer (KT): Ensure timely and effective knowledge transfer to support and maintenance teams, facilitating smooth handover and operational continuity.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and lead the technical team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.

Required Qualifications & Experience: -

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 12+ years experience in developing technology solutions, with at least 812 years in Salesforce architecture roles for major F500 companies, Big 4, or leading SI consulting practices, including the implementation of at least 5 large-scale Salesforce projects
  • 10+ years of direct, hands-on experience with the Salesforce product suite, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, and Marketing Cloud
  • 10+ years of Salesforce business process design and rules configuration, with a strong focus on marketing automation, campaign management, and customer journey orchestration
  • Extensive experience with platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth) and platform security capabilities (TLS, SSL), ensuring robust and secure SMEures
  • 10+ years of multi-tier architecture design for scalable solutions, including integration with manufacturing, billing, and marketing systems
  • 8+ years of integration architecture and tools experience, including real-time APIs and ETL tools such as SAP PI/PO, MuleSoft, Salesforce Connect, and knowledge of Salesforce platform events and integration with ESBs (e.g., SAP).
  • Expertise in full Salesforce application lifecycle development: solutioning, planning, development, testing, environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, deployment methodologies, and operationalisation
  • Advanced knowledge in both configuration and declarative customisation, as well as APEX development and Lightning Components for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and related platforms
  • Deep expertise in Salesforce and enterprise architecture best practices, including balancing configuration, customisation, use of managed packages, AppExchange apps, accelerators, and connectors
  • Extensive experience with data migrations from third-party systems to Salesforce, ensuring data integrity and compliance
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and growth within the Salesforce ecosystem, staying current with new features, certifications, and industry trends
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Prior experience working in onsite environments, preferably in the Middle East region

Preferred Skills: -

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Architect, Platform App Builder)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and tools relevant to Salesforce
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural, diverse teams

Location: -

This role is based onsite in Dubai. Candidates must be willing to relocate or currently reside in the region.
