Sap Abap Consultant

Description

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Consultant with 5-15 years of experience to join our dynamic team in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining ABAP programs and ensuring the smooth functioning of SAP systems. The role requires strong technical expertise in ABAP, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with functional teams to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, and interfaces in SAP environments.
• Design and implement enhancements and modifications in SAP systems as per business requirements.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business processes and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform unit testing and assist in integration testing of developed solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ABAP-related issues in production and non-production environments.
• Document technical specifications and maintain proper documentation for developed solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5-15 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP programming language and its various components.
• Experience with SAP modules such as SD, MM, FICO, and HR is preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP HANA and S/4HANA is a plus.
• Experience in developing reports, forms (SmartForms, SAPscript), and interfaces (IDOC, BAPI).
• Proficiency in debugging and performance tuning of ABAP programs.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts in ABAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
