Job Description:
Objective:
- Conducting a thorough assessment of our current SAP FI/CO configuration and business workflows.
- Benchmarking practices against industry standards and leading-edge financial processes.
- Identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation and digital enablement.
- Leading structured workshops with key stakeholders to define needs and co-develop tailored solutions.
- Delivering a strategic roadmap for process optimization and digital transformation.
Scope of Work:
Process Review and Benchmarking
- Analyze the current SAP FI/CO configuration, including customizations and integration workflows.
- Evaluate core financial processes such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), .Commodity Management, Pricing, and Controlling.
- Assess integration points with upstream and downstream systems, including Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Treasury, and Commodity Trading.
- Benchmark current operations against industry standards and regulatory expectations.
Accounting Standards and Financial Reporting Alignment
- Review the current financial reporting framework for compliance with applicable standards such as IFRS and local GAAP.
- Recommend necessary adjustments to support evolving regulatory and audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline statutory and internal reporting using SAP-native tools or enhancements.
Stakeholder Engagement and Needs Assessment
- Conduct discovery sessions with Finance, Operations, and Trading teams to identify pain points and manual interventions.
- Facilitate collaborative workshops to explore digital transformation opportunities, including automation, advanced analytics, and real-time reporting.
Strategic Recommendations and Roadmap Development
- Develop actionable recommendations for process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives.
- Propose SAP-native or complementary solutions, such as S/4HANA Finance, Group Reporting, Central Finance, or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Deliver a phased transformation roadmap, prioritizing quick wins and long-term strategic initiatives, such as RPA.
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer
- Prepare comprehensive documentation of findings, proposed changes, and expected business benefits.
- Develop updated process flow diagrams and high-level solution architecture.
- Support internal teams in understanding and prioritizing the next steps through knowledge-sharing sessions.
Must Have:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP FI/CO architecture and solution design.
- Demonstrated success in the oil & gas and energy trading sectors.
- Deep understanding of industry-specific financial processes, compliance frameworks, and reporting standards.
- Strong expertise in IFRS and/or local GAAP, with a track record of aligning SAP systems to financial reporting requirements.
- Proven experience in digital finance transformation, including automation, analytics, and S/4HANA upgrade projects.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across technical and business functions.
