Role Overview
We are seeking a senior SAP FICO Testing professional to drive quality across the SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) landscape. In this role, you will lead the design and execution of comprehensive testing strategies for SAP FICO implementations, enhancements, and support activities—ensuring that financial processes, transactions, and integrations perform accurately, reliably, and in line with business requirements. The role combines deep SAP Finance domain knowledge with advanced software testing expertise across the application lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and execution of test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for SAP FICO modules (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis).
Perform and oversee functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across FI/CO and its integration points with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD).
Drive and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), working closely with business users and functional consultants through to sign-off.
Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, collaborating with functional and technical teams to analyze root causes and validate fixes.
Ensure data accuracy and validate financial transactions, reporting outputs, and account determination against business requirements.
Define and contribute to test automation strategies and develop or maintain automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.
Oversee test data and environment preparation to ensure smooth and reliable testing cycles.
Maintain detailed test documentation, execution results, and quality metrics, and report on testing progress to stakeholders.
Act as a subject matter expert in SAP FICO testing, ensuring compliance with quality standards, governance requirements, and testing best practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP FICO testing / quality engineering.
Strong understanding of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules and end-to-end finance business processes (e.g., Record-to-Report).
Advanced proficiency in test execution, test management, and defect management.
Proven experience with integration and regression testing methodologies in an SAP environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Worksoft, Tricentis Tosca, HP ALM/UFT).
Exposure to S/4HANA Finance.
Master's degree in a related field.
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, SAP FICO, Six Sigma, or Agile/testing methodologies.
