We are seeking an experienced SAP Integration Architect to define, design, and govern enterprise-wide integration architecture across SAP and non-SAP systems. This role is responsible for leading the integration strategy using SAP PI/PO and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing integration solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong architectural expertise in hybrid landscapes and will play a key role in aligning integration solutions with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement end-to-end integration architecture for SAP and non-SAP systems across hybrid landscapes
- Lead the design, governance, and standardization of integration solutions using SAP PI/PO and SAP CPI (Integration Suite)
- Review and approve technical designs including iFlows, ESR objects, message mappings, adapters, and interface specifications
- Establish integration best practices, design patterns, and reusable frameworks for enterprise integration
- Ensure all integration solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and compliance requirements
- Oversee complex integration scenarios including IDoc, SOAP, REST, SFTP, OData, JSON, and XML-based services
- Guide development teams in building scalable and efficient integration flows and resolving technical challenges
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, and functional stakeholders to define integration roadmaps
- Drive API-led integration strategy and API lifecycle management across platforms
- Ensure performance optimization, monitoring, and reliability of integration landscapes
- Support S/4HANA transformation programs and cloud migration initiatives
- Conduct architecture reviews, technical assessments, and risk evaluations
- Provide leadership in troubleshooting critical production integration issues
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP integration technologies (PI/PO and CPI)
- Proven experience in designing and architecting complex hybrid integration landscapes
- Deep expertise in integration protocols and standards including IDoc, SOAP, REST, SFTP, OData, JSON, and XML
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and integration patterns
- Hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite, API management, and enterprise service design
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks including authentication, authorization, and encryption standards
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to manage enterprise-scale integration challenges
Preferred Certifications:
- SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Integration Suite (e.g., C_ARI1_2402 or latest version)
Optional Certifications:
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – Process Orchestration
- TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with SAP API Management, Event Mesh, and cloud-native integration tools
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices for integration lifecycle management
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM or Solution Manager for monitoring and governance
- Experience in Agile/SAFe enterprise delivery environments
- Understanding of performance tuning and scalability strategies for integration platforms
