SAP MES – Functional Consultant

Black Pearl Consult is hiring for a Senior SAP MES - Functional Consultant in the UAE. We are looking for an experienced SAP professional with strong expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), production processes, and manufacturing business process optimisation.

This opportunity is suited to a professional with experience in SAP manufacturing solutions, system integration, and MES implementation, with the ability to collaborate across IT, production, engineering, and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate manufacturing processes into functional SAP MES solutions.
  
• Lead or support SAP MES implementation, configuration, enhancement, and system optimisation activities.
  
• Configure and support manufacturing execution processes, including production orders, work instructions, production confirmations, and work-in-progress tracking.
  
• Ensure effective integration between SAP MES and SAP ERP / SAP S/4HANA, including production planning, inventory management, and quality management.
  
• Support material traceability, batch and serial number management, production genealogy, and quality inspection processes.
  
• Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, configuration documents, and test scenarios.
  
• Conduct functional testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and support go-live activities.
  
• Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate with technical teams, and ensure timely resolution of functional defects.
  
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend appropriate SAP solutions.
  
• Provide end-user training, system support, and guidance on manufacturing best practices.
  
• Ensure compliance with established operational procedures, data integrity requirements, and quality standards.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Information Systems.
  
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in SAP and manufacturing systems, with substantial hands-on experience in SAP MES functional consulting.
  
• Proven experience in SAP MES implementation, configuration, enhancement, or support.
  
• Strong understanding of manufacturing execution processes, production planning, shop-floor operations, and quality management.
  
• Experience integrating SAP MES with SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA.
  
• Familiarity with SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP Manufacturing Execution (SAP ME), or other relevant MES platforms.
  
• Knowledge of SAP PP (Production Planning), SAP MM (Materials Management), and SAP QM (Quality Management) is highly desirable.
  
• Experience in requirements gathering, functional design, system testing, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across IT, manufacturing, engineering, and quality.
