We are seeking a knowledgeable SAP MM (Procurement) Consultant to support and enhance Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes within our SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in Materials Management, with hands-on experience in configuring procurement and inventory processes, as well as integrating MM with other SAP modules. This role plays a key part in optimizing procurement operations, improving efficiency, and ensuring seamless system integration across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support SAP MM modules, including Procurement, Inventory Management, and Vendor Management
- Implement and optimize end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes
- Manage key procurement functions such as purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, invoice verification, and vendor evaluation
- Integrate SAP MM with other modules such as SD (Sales & Distribution), FI (Finance), and WM (Warehouse Management)
- Support integration with SAP Ariba for supplier collaboration and sourcing processes
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications
- Perform system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide production support
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to procurement and inventory processes
- Prepare documentation, training materials, and conduct user training sessions
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in SAP technical roles, with significant exposure to architecture responsibilities
- Deep expertise in SAP NetWeaver, ABAP development, and SAP system architecture
- Strong experience with SAP Fiori/UI5, OData services, and SAP Gateway
- Proven experience in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration projects (Brownfield, Greenfield, or Hybrid approaches)
- Solid understanding of integration technologies and patterns (REST, SOAP, APIs, middleware)
- Experience with SAP HANA database concepts and performance optimization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Certifications:
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – System Administration (SAP HANA or SAP NetWeaver)
- SAP Certified Development Specialist – ABAP for SAP HANA
- SAP Certified Technology Architect
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and cloud-native architectures
- Knowledge of RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) and modern SAP development paradigms
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and transport management
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Understanding of SAP security, governance, and compliance frameworks
