Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Consultant to join our SAP delivery team. The role focuses on designing, configuring, and supporting SAP PM processes within S/4HANA environments. You will work closely with clients to optimize maintenance planning, execution, and reliability processes in assetintensive industries.
Key Responsibilities
Lead SAP PM solution design, configuration, and implementation.
Conduct requirement gathering workshops with business stakeholders to understand asset and maintenance processes.
Configure SAP PM Components, Including
Equipment & Functional Locations
Maintenance Task Lists & BOMs
Maintenance Notifications & Work Orders
Preventive Maintenance Plans
Breakdown, Corrective & Predictive Maintenance
Measurement Points & Counters
Integrate PM with MM, PP, QM, FI/CO modules.
Prepare functional specifications for WRICEF objects.
Support testing cycles (Unit, SIT, UAT) and lead user training sessions.
Collaborate with global onshore/offshore teams for project delivery.
Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution according to SLAs.
Produce documentation including configuration guides, business process flows, and training materials.
Contribute to Capgemini SAP community best practices and reusable accelerators.
Required Skills & Experience
6 9 years of hands-on SAP PM configuration experience.
Strong knowledge of maintenance processes: preventive, corrective, predictive.
Experience with S/4HANA PM, Fiori apps, and new maintenance functionalities (e.g., Maintenance Cockpit).
Experience in asset-intensive industries (utilities, manufacturing, oil & gas, transportation, etc.).
Good understanding of Equipment Lifecycle Management and Maintenance Costing.
Strong understanding of integration between PM and MM (spare parts), PP (production maintenance), QM (inspection), FI/CO (costing and settlement).
Ability to write detailed functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP teams.
Strong communication, analytical thinking, and client-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP Certification in PM or Asset Management.
Exposure to SAP AIN (Asset Intelligence Network) or SAP EAM Mobility solutions.
Experience with Agile methodology (Scrum/SAFe).
Prior consulting experience with global clients.
Experience in IoT-based predictive maintenance solutions (nice to have).
