SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Specialist

GL events Middle East looking for a hands-on SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Specialist to support the transition from QuickBooks Desktop to SAP S/4HANA.

This role is key in ensuring a smooth and accurate migration of financial data and processes. You will act as a bridge between the local finance team and the SAP implementation team based in France, supporting data preparation, validation, testing, and user adoption.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong data skills and SAP exposure to contribute to a critical transformation project.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and prepare financial data from QuickBooks Desktop
• Perform data mapping (General Ledger, vendors, customers, cost centers, etc.)
• Validate data before and after migration to SAP S/4HANA
• Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across key finance processes (AP, AR, GL)
• Identify issues, track defects, and coordinate resolution with the SAP/IT team
• Reconcile financial balances to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Validate reports and system outputs post-migration
• Support alignment between legacy processes and SAP workflows
• Act as the main point of contact between local finance users and the central SAP team
• Document processes, mappings, and testing scenarios
• Support end users during go-live and transition phase

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of experience in finance or accounting, with strong accounting knowledge, advanced Excel and data skills, and mandatory SAP experience. Exposure to ERP migrations, UAT, or reconciliations is a plus, as is QuickBooks Desktop. They are detail-oriented, hands-on and analytical, comfortable working in project environments and able to effectively bridge finance and IT teams. Fluent English is a must – French is a plus.
