Role Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced SAP Technical Architect to own the end-to-end technical architecture and integration strategy across the SAP landscape. The role involves leading technical design for SAP implementations and migrations — including ECC to S/4HANA — reviewing custom developments, enforcing technical governance, and providing expert guidance across all SAP modules and integration touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Architecture & Technical Governance
- Define, own, and govern the overall SAP technical architecture across the organisation
- Establish and enforce technical standards, coding guidelines, and best practices for all SAP development and configuration activities
- Conduct architectural reviews and approve custom development, enhancements, and modifications
- Drive technical strategy aligned to business roadmap and SAP's evolving product direction (S/4HANA, BTP, Fiori)
- Maintain architecture documentation, technical blueprints, and decision logs
ECC to S/4HANA Migration Leadership
- Lead the technical design and execution planning for ECC to S/4HANA migration
- Conduct system landscape assessment, custom code impact analysis, and readiness evaluation
- Define migration approach — greenfield, brownfield, or selective data transition
- Oversee technical workstreams during migration including data migration, integration re-platforming, and custom code remediation
- Coordinate with functional leads, basis team, and external SAP partners
Integration Architecture
- Design and govern end-to-end integration architecture between SAP and non-SAP systems
- Lead technical design using SAP Gateway, OData services, SAP Integration Suite (CPI/BTP), and middleware platforms
- Ensure integration security, performance, and scalability standards are met
- Review and approve all interface specifications and API designs
ABAP & Fiori / UI5 Development Oversight
- Provide technical leadership and code review governance for ABAP development including ABAP for HANA, CDS views, BAPI, BAdI, and user exits
- Oversee SAP Fiori / UI5 application design, OData service development, and Fiori Launchpad configuration
- Guide the development team on performance optimisation, clean core principles, and side-by-side extensibility on BTP
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
- Act as the senior technical advisor to IT leadership, project managers, and business stakeholders
- Mentor and guide a team of SAP developers and technical consultants
- Engage with SAP and third-party vendors on architecture decisions and escalations
- Contribute to RFPs, solution evaluations, and vendor assessments from a technical perspective

- SAP Certified Technology Associate – System Administration (SAP HANA or SAP NetWeaver) — Preferred
- SAP Certified Development Specialist – ABAP for SAP HANA — Preferred
- SAP Certified Technology Architect — Highly Preferred
