Overview
The Export Coordinator ensures end-to-end export and import process execution & Service for respective market scope, including SCP, Logistics, customs clearance, and trade compliance. This role acts as the central point for performance monitoring, escalation management, and communication between all parties in the E2E Process. In addition to support and coordinate export operations and customs activities, monitor performance, and manage escalations for the export program. Ensure compliance with trade regulations and internal SOPs while driving efficiency and visibility across the supply chain.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Export Process Coordination
- Oversee daily export operations (order entry, delivery scheduling, customs documentation).
- Liaise / escalate to local teams & customer transportation teams (warehouse, production, copacker) to resolve operational constraints.
- Ensure compliance with export regulations and internal SOPs.
- Assign customer prioritisation to plan incl. forecast net volumes by locations
- Align production capacity & warehouse inventory availability to transport requirements
- Customs & Trade Compliance
- New Product planning (support attestation creations)
- Prepare and validate customs documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates).
- Ensure adherence to trade compliance requirements (Incoterms, HS codes, export licenses).
- Act as liaison with customs brokers and regulatory authorities for clearance issues.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track KPIs & service level analysis (e.g. on-time delivery, volume fill, customs clearance lead time).
- Prepare weekly dashboards and escalation summaries for leadership and OU partners.
- Escalation & Communication
- Act as escalation point for Inventory, transport and customs issues.
- Communicate risks and mitigation plans to OU and leadership.
- Co-ordinate milestone meetings and maintain action trackers. (weekly review meetings etc)
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify process gaps and propose efficiency improvements.
- Support automation initiatives.
Dimensions
- Scope: FG import / export flows, customs compliance, and GCC governance.
- Impact: Direct influence on export lead times, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Interfaces: OM teams, customs brokers, IT, OU Supply Chain, CCC leadership, SCP.
This positions works from Monday through Friday.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Excellent spoken and written English language knowledge
- University degree (BA/BSC)
- Previous exposure to cross border freight and Planning co-ordination inclusive of customs requirements a requirement
Abilities:
- Technical:
- SAP (Order Management), export documentation, customs clearance processes.
- Knowledge of trade compliance (Incoterms, HS codes, EU export regulations).
- KPI reporting and Excel proficiency.
- Behavioral:
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management.
- Problem-solving and escalation handling.
- Excellent communication in English.
- Experience:
- 3 years in export operations, customs, or trade compliance roles.
- Great communication skills and be able to interact with people across different functions and levels
