Scaffolding Designer

We are seeking an experienced Scaffolding Designer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed scaffolding design drawings, layouts, and 3D models using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
• Prepare scaffolding designs and structural calculations for various types of scaffolding systems, including suspended, cantilever, birdcage, and heavy-duty scaffolds.
• Ensure scaffolding designs comply with project requirements, UAE regulations, international standards, and safety requirements.
• Review construction drawings and identify scaffolding requirements, providing suitable and practical design solutions.
• Optimize scaffolding designs for safety, stability, access, and efficient material usage.
• Review and validate scaffolding designs and drawings submitted by subcontractors or third parties.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, construction, and HSE teams to resolve technical issues and support site execution.
• Provide technical support and guidance to site teams during scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments, calculations, and other documents required for design approvals.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and relevant authorities regarding scaffolding design approvals and technical queries.
• Conduct periodic site visits to verify that scaffolding is erected in accordance with approved designs.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, calculations, approvals, revisions, and other design documentation.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in scaffolding design, preferably within construction projects in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, structural calculations, and load assessments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D modelling/design software.
• Knowledge of relevant scaffolding standards, including BS, EN, OSHA, and UAE safety regulations.
