Position Overview
The Scaffolding Manager will lead all scaffolding engineering, design, inspection, planning, and execution activities for major Oil & Gas EPC projects in Abu Dhabi. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and strict adherence to ADNOC standards and international safety regulations. The ideal candidate will oversee scaffolding design, manage teams, ensure safe operations, and provide technical guidance across project sites.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil preferred).
- Minimum 20 years of experience in scaffolding design, inspection, construction, supervision, engineering and management within the EPC Oil & Gas and Construction industry.
- Preferred with ADNOC standards and project specifications.
- Professional scaffolding certification such as CISRS or an equivalent internationally recognized qualification.
- Strong knowledge of international scaffolding codes, safety standards, and best practices.
- Proven experience managing large scaffolding teams and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage scaffolding design, Inspection, Construction, Supervision and engineering activities, ensuring all structures meet project requirements, ADNOC standards, and international safety regulations.
- Manage the entire scaffolding team, including engineers, supervisors, inspectors, and site personnel.
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and assessments to determine appropriate scaffolding solutions for construction and maintenance activities.
- Prepare scaffolding layout drawings, design calculations, and material requirement plans in coordination with engineering teams.
- Coordinate with site construction teams to ensure safe erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding structures.
- Ensure all scaffolding operations comply with ADNOC, OSHA, and other relevant safety standards.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to scaffolding crews and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including risk assessments, inspection reports, load calculations, method statements, and handover certificates.
- Participate in audits, safety reviews, and incident investigations related to scaffolding activities.
- Optimize scaffolding material usage and ensure proper inventory control and planning.
