Scale Model Maker / Fabricator

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Scale Model Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and high-quality finishing of scale models using laser cutting and precision fabrication techniques, including landscape elements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembly and finishing of scale model components
• Fabrication of acrylic and MDF parts using laser cutting machines
• Preparing and modifying drawings in AutoCAD for laser cutting and fabrication
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD files
• Creating and installing landscape elements such as terrain, roads, greenery, trees, and water features on scale models
• Ensuring dimensional accuracy and superior finishing quality
• Coordinating with design and production teams
• Safe operation and basic maintenance of workshop equipment

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-4 years of proven experience in scale model making or fabrication
• Strong knowledge of model assembly, finishing, and landscaping techniques
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing cutting files and layouts
• Hands-on experience operating acrylic laser cutting machines
• Good understanding of materials such as acrylic, resin, MDF, and adhesives
• High attention to detail and strong craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
• Knowledge of professional painting and high-end model finishing techniques
