The Role
As a Science Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 in your specialist area where appropriate.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the English National Curriculum.
- Inspire students through practical investigations, experiments and real-world applications of science.
- Develop students scientific knowledge, enquiry skills and confidence.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and extracurricular opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have:
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd or equivalent) with QTS or equivalent.
- A degree in Science or a relevant specialist subject (Biology, Chemistry or Physics).
- Experience teaching within the English National Curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for inspiring students and encouraging scientific curiosity.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
