Sea Freight Coordinator - Sharjah Clearance

A leading logistics company is seeking a Sea Freight Customer Service Executive – Sharjah Clearance to join our operations team. The role will be fully focused on sea freight import operations, Sharjah Customs clearance, and food product clearance. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in customs procedures and food clearance requirements in the UAE.

• Handle end-to-end sea freight import and customs clearance operations in Sharjah.
• Handle food product clearance, including the required documentation and regulatory procedures.
• Receive, review, and process pre-alerts and shipment documents.
• Verify import documents and ensure all requirements are completed before customs clearance.
• Handle Sharjah Customs clearance procedures, including customs declarations and related formalities.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities and parties for food product approvals and clearance.
• Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, transporters, customs authorities, and other relevant parties.
• Apply for delivery orders and coordinate container release and transportation after clearance.
• Monitor shipment arrivals and ensure timely customs and food clearance.
• Record and update shipment details in Logi-SYS or similar logistics software.
• Prepare and maintain shipment-related payment requests, cost updates, and documentation.
• Ensure timely invoicing, document uploads, and system updates.
• Maintain daily shipment and clearance reports and provide regular status updates to customers.
• Follow up on pending customs, food clearance, and shipment-related matters.
• Ensure all clearance activities are completed in accordance with applicable UAE customs and food regulatory requirements.
  

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Sea Freight Operations and Sharjah Customs Clearance.
• Mandatory experience in food clearance in the UAE.
• Good knowledge of food import documentation and clearance procedures.
• Practical experience in Sharjah Customs procedures.
• Experience handling sea import shipments, customs documentation, delivery orders, and container release.
• Knowledge of Logi-SYS or similar logistics software is preferred.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, organized, and team-oriented approach.
