Job Description

1. Job Purpose

To architect, execute, and own EduGate's end-to-end SEO strategy, driving measurable growth in organic traffic, high-intent student leads, and brand

authority. This role is pivotal in transforming our digital footprint from a service website into the leading educational resource for students and

parents in the GCC region researching study abroad opportunities. You will blend technical expertise with content strategy and local/regional SEO

mastery to outperform competitors and connect our mission with those who need it most.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Strategy & Leadership (30%)

• Develop and own the comprehensive SEO roadmap aligned with business goals (lead generation, brand awareness for key services:Study in

Egypt, Study Abroad Consulting).

• Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of regional and international education consultancies.

• Define and track KPIs (organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rate, lead volume/quality) and report on ROI to senior management.

• Manage the SEO budget for tools, platforms, and potential external resources.

• Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates and industry trends, adapting strategy proactively.

B. Technical SEO Excellence (25%)

• Perform deep technical audits of https://edugateuae.com (and subdomains) using tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush.

• Own site health: optimize crawlability, indexation, site speed (Core Web Vitals), mobile-friendliness, and security (HTTPS).

• Implement and manage structured data (Schema markup) for services, FAQs, and local business.

• Collaborate with web developers to ensure SEO best practices are baked into site architecture and any new developments.

C. Content & On-Page SEO (25%)

• Conduct keyword research to identify high-value, high-intent opportunities in English and Arabic (e.g., study medicine in Egypt for UAE

students, best engineering universities in Cairo).

• Develop a content gap analysis and strategy to build topical authority.

• Optimize all website content (service pages, blog posts, location pages) for target keywords and user intent.

• Guide the content team on SEO-friendly content creation for blogs, guides, and landing pages.

• Ensure flawless on-page SEO elements: title tags, meta descriptions, header tags, image optimization.

D. Off-Page & Local SEO (15%)

• Develop and execute a strategic backlink profile-building plan focused on authority in the education, travel, and youth sectors within the

GCC and MENA regions.

• Manage local SEO profiles (Google Business Profile, local directories) for our UAE offices.

• Build online citations and ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency across the web.

• Explore strategic partnerships and digital PR opportunities to build domain authority.

E. Analytics & Optimization (5%)

• Configure and utilize Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console for deep performance analysis.

• Set up conversion tracking for organic leads (form submissions, phone calls, WhatsApp clicks).

• Run A/B tests (e.g., on title tags or meta descriptions) to improve CTR from SERPs.

• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the broader marketing team.

3. Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or strategic role. Proven track record of

growing organic traffic and conversions in a competitive B2C or service-based industry. Experience in theeducation sector, ed-tech, or

geographical-specific targeting (GCC/Egypt) is amajor advantage.

• Portfolio: Must provide case studies or examples demonstrating successful SEO campaigns with clear metrics.

Technical Skills (Must Have):

A. Expert proficiency with SEO platforms: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4.

B. Strong experience with technical audit tools:Screaming Frog, Botify.

C. Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript fundamentalsand CMS platforms (WordPress).

D. Knowledge of international & local SEO principles.

• Language: Professional fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Arabicis asignificant asset for content and local strategy.
