Job Description

Contract Duration: 3 months (Summer Season)
Purpose:

Under the general direction of the General Manager or his/her delegate, the Clubhouse Manager is responsible for overseeing clubhouse, recreation, sports facilities, and pool area operations. The role ensures a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for guests, residents, and staff, and is performed during the summer season while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Key Relationships:
  • Internal:

    • Reports directly to the General Manager or delegate on matters related to recreation, sports, and pool operations.

    • Supervises recreation, sports, pool area, and admin office.

    • Coordinates with other department heads as necessary.

  • External:

    • Engages with guests, members, and the local community to promote services and ensure satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Operations & Safety:

  • Supervise daily activities of the clubhouse and pool area during the seasonal working period.

  • Ensure safety and security standards for all clients and employees.

  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of recreational and sports equipment and pool facilities.

  • Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.

  • Enforce compliance with safety, hygiene, and operational standards.

Staff Management:

  • Oversee performance of recreation, sports, and pool staff, especially those in guest-facing roles.

  • Enforce staff appearance, hygiene, and conduct standards.

  • Support training and development initiatives as needed.

  • Conduct regular briefings during shifts to align staff on procedures and upcoming events.

Planning & Budgeting:

  • Assist in managing budgets and inventories related to recreation, sports, and pool operations during the season.

  • Support strategic planning and marketing initiatives under management guidance.

Customer Relations:

  • Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle feedback professionally.

  • Resolve guest concerns or escalate issues as appropriate.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support special projects and assignments as directed by the General Manager.

  • Perform other duties as needed to maintain smooth clubhouse operations



Requirements

  • Experience in facility management, hospitality, or recreation preferred.
  • Proven supervisory and operational management skills.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, adaptable to seasonal dynamics.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of pool safety regulations and facility management.

  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.

  • Budgeting and resource management skills.

  • Customer service oriented.

  • Basic computer skills for administrative duties.
