Egypt Education Platform is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic
Secondary Physics / Chemistry Teacher - IGCES / A level to join our dedicated team at GEMS - TBS (The British School Al-Rehab). The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching of Physics and/or Chemistry at
IGCSE and A Level, ensuring excellent academic outcomes and fostering a positive, engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that align with the British curriculum for Secondary students
- Prepare students for IGCSE and A Level examinations
- Monitor and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance their learning experience
- Create a welcoming classroom environment that promotes respect, curiosity, and a love for learning
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and encouraging parental involvement
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a cohesive educational experience and engage in ongoing curriculum development
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities to stay informed and improve teaching practices
- Support students social and emotional growth while fostering positive behavior and classroom dynamics
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
- PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching IGCSE and A Level (e.g., Cambridge Assessment International Education or Pearson Edexcel).
- Strong subject knowledge and exam preparation experience.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Previous experience in a British or international school is a must
