Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Secondary Plant Production Manager to oversee and manage secondary tobacco manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are achieved efficiently while maintaining product quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all secondary manufacturing operations, including cigarette making and packing.
- Ensure production plans and daily targets are achieved according to required quality and efficiency standards.
- Manage production lines, manpower, materials, and machine utilization.
- Monitor key production KPIs such as OEE, output, waste, yield, downtime, and line efficiency.
- Identify production losses and bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, quality standards, health & safety, and tobacco industry regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste and operating costs.
- Lead root-cause analysis and problem-solving activities for production and quality issues.
- Develop, coach, and evaluate production teams to maintain high performance.
- Ensure proper implementation of production procedures and process controls.
- Monitor raw material consumption and minimize material and production losses.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly production performance reports.
- Support new product introductions, process improvements, and equipment modifications.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and efficient production environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Chemical, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in manufacturing, with significant experience in production management.
- Strong experience in tobacco manufacturing, particularly secondary manufacturing, is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with cigarette-making and/or packing lines.
- Strong knowledge of OEE, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing large production teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of production planning, quality management, and cost control.
- Good command of English and Microsoft Office.
