GEMS TBS (The British School El-Rehab)is seeking a passionate and qualified
Secondary Science Teacher. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to the development of the Science curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or combined Science
- Ensure teaching aligns with the British National Curriculum / IGCSE / A-Level standards
- Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and reporting as required
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintain a safe, well-organized, and stimulating laboratory/classroom environment
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations (IGCSE, A-Level, or equivalent)
- Participate in department meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities
- Uphold school policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Science Education (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related)
- Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience in a secondary school
- Experience teaching IGCSE / A-Level Science preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for teaching and student development
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
