A confidential Government Entity is seeking an experienced Section Head – IT Operations to lead the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of its technology environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead IT infrastructure and operations across on-premise and cloud environments, including AWS, Azure and OCI.
- Oversee IT Service Management (ITSM), service desk, incident, problem, change and request management.
- Ensure high availability, business continuity, disaster recovery and operational resilience.
- Lead day-to-day IT security operations and ensure alignment with Abu Dhabi Government information security standards.
- Oversee production application support, patching, upgrades and operational handovers.
- Manage IT vendors, contracts, SLAs, licensing, assets and cloud cost governance.
- Monitor IT service performance, risks, KPIs and operational improvement initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; Master's preferred.
- 8–12 years of relevant IT operations/infrastructure/cloud/service management experience, with proven leadership experience.
- Experience managing critical IT infrastructure, production applications, IT service desk, vendors and enterprise technology environments.
- Government or large enterprise experience is highly desirable.
- Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, AWS/Azure/OCI, CISSP or CISM are an advantage.
