Job Description
Summary of Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:
- Report for duty as scheduled and attend pre- and post-shift briefings.
- Wear and operate essential company-issued equipment during duty.
- Oversee daily operations of the Hotel Security Control Room.
- Monitor CCTV and security systems; promptly report irregularities.
- Manage access points and ensure only authorized entries.
- Conduct regular patrols of guest floors, public areas, and back-of-house.
- Respond promptly to all security, safety, and medical emergencies.
- Participate in the Hotel Emergency Action Team (HEAT) / Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).
- Handle incident reporting, preliminary investigations, and documentation in line with SOPs.
- Manage lost & found items, key control, and visitor/contractor passes.
- Provide crowd control, lift management, and VIP escort duties as required.
- Assist in training and guiding security officers on SOPs and hotel policies.
- Ensure all security systems and equipment are operational; report faults promptly.
- Liaise with management, vendors, and local authorities on security issues.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Security Manager or Director of Security.
Qualifications
- Minimum GCE O level
- At least 4 years hotel's security experience in a 4/5 star hotel
- Former Law Enforcement Officer at Supervisory level is preferred
- Previous administration of persons in lifesaving or property protection situations
- Experienced in CPR, First aid, firefighting and crowd control
- Minimum Chief Security Officer Certification required by local authorities
- Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) Certificate
- Conversant with the various systems in Hotel Security Room
- Computer, Report writing, communication skills, investigation and questioning aptitude
