Senior Sales Engineer – Electrical & Automation Solutions
Job Purpose
Collaborate with Sales team to produce technical, architectural, and engineering deliverables that lead to generate profitable sales. Serve customers by identifying their needs and engineer adaptations of products, equipment and services that ensure high customer satisfaction levels. Measures of success include new customer acquisition rates, renewal rates, up-selling, cross-selling and contribution to overall sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Support the full sales cycle from customer engagement to project award.
- Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Develop opportunities within assigned accounts and maintain customer relationships.
- Support RFP/RFQ/RFI responses and proposal preparation.
- Gather market and competitor intelligence.
Technical & Engineering Support
- Review customer specifications, drawings, and bid documents.
- Design and recommend Electrical and Automation solutions.
- Prepare technical and commercial quotations.
- Conduct site visits and technical assessments.
- Provide technical clarification to customers and suppliers throughout the bidding process.
- Prepare technical submittals, documentation, and final project dossiers.
Procurement & Vendor Coordination
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and evaluate technical compliance.
- Coordinate with vendors on pricing, delivery schedules, and technical requirements.
- Issue purchase orders and monitor supplier commitments.
Order & Delivery Management
- Review customer purchase orders for technical and commercial accuracy.
- Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, finance, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Support order execution until customer acceptance and project completion.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate CRM and sales records.
- Monitor open orders and delivery status.
- Track customer receivables in coordination with finance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ISO procedures.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience in technical sales, electrical engineering, or automation solutions.
Languages
- Fluent English (Required)
- Arabic (Preferred)
Certification
- CRM Certification (Preferred)
