The Senior Account Manager plays a key leadership role within the client services team,
responsible for managing strategic accounts, leading day-to-day client relationships, and
ensuring high-quality delivery across integrated marketing mandates.
This role requires a confident team lead with strong commercial awareness, the ability to think
strategically, and the maturity to manage senior stakeholders while driving operational
excellence across projects and retainers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Management
. Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients.
. Build and maintain strong working relationships with mid-to-senior level stakeholders.
. Lead regular status meetings, reporting, and quarterly performance reviews.
. Ensure client objectives are clearly understood and translated into actionable plans.
. Manage expectations proactively and escalate strategic or commercial matters where
required.
2. Campaign & Project Leadership
. Lead integrated campaign execution across digital, social, content, branding, media, and
events.
. Translate client briefs into clear, strategic internal briefs for creative and production
teams.
. Ensure timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are consistently maintained.
. Drive alignment across departments to ensure seamless execution.
. Identify risks early and implement solutions before escalation is required.
3. Commercial & Scope Management
. Support revenue tracking, budgeting, and financial management for assigned accounts.
. Monitor scope delivery and ensure all additional requirements are properly
aligned with agreed commercial terms.
. Contribute to forecasting, pipeline visibility, and monthly performance reporting.
. Identify organic growth opportunities and support renewal and upsell discussions.
4. Strategy & Business Development Support
. Contribute to campaign strategy, annual planning, and roadmap development.
. Support the development of proposals and pitch presentations.
. Participate in new business opportunities and cross-selling initiatives where required.
. Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity to strengthen client
recommendations.
5. Team Leadership
. Mentor and guide Account Executives and Account Managers.
. Ensure team accountability, prioritization, and clarity of responsibilities.
. Foster a proactive, commercially aware, and solutions-oriented mindset.
. Collaborate cross-functionally with strategy, creative, content, media, and production
teams to drive integration and quality output.
Required Skills & Experience
. 58 years of experience within an integrated marketing or communications agency.
. Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary accounts and complex scopes.
. Strong client-facing confidence and presentation skills.
. Solid commercial awareness and understanding of agency financial processes.
. Experience contributing to pitches and business development initiatives.
. Ability to lead projects independently while operating within a senior leadership
structure.
. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
