Role Overview
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance within the wealth and investment management environment. The role requires strong knowledge of financial services accounting, fund accounting principles, and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Support fund accounting and investment accounting activities, including valuation of investment portfolios and reconciliation of financial instruments.
- Monitor cash flow, treasury activities, and investment transactions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities during audits and reporting cycles.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation for all financial transactions.
- Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Monitor internal controls and improve financial reporting systems and processes.
- Support management with financial analysis and operational reporting.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 57 years of accounting experience in Wealth Management, Asset Management, Investment Management, or Financial Services.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification preferred (CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, fund accounting, and financial reporting standards.
- Experience working with investment portfolios, financial instruments, or funds will be highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced financial services environment.
