Job Summary
The Senior General Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing the company's financial
records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role plays a key part in maintaining
financial integrity, supporting decision-making, and ensuring all accounting operations run efficiently
in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and
reconciliations.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and aligned with accounting standards.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely processing and accuracy.
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper cash flow tracking.
Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial policies.
Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes.
Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
Collaborate with operations and inventory teams to ensure accurate stock valuation and cost
tracking.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
