Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Construction Division. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end accounting activities, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support project-based financial control in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations for construction projects
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and cost allocations
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and project cost tracking
- Handle general ledger entries, reconciliations, and closing activities
- Coordinate with project managers on cost control and financial performance
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, and subcontractor payments
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, VAT, and statutory requirements
- Support internal and external audits and provide required documentation
- Improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Prepare financial reports for management and support decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or contracting companies
- Strong knowledge of project accounting and cost control
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Solid understanding of VAT and local financial regulations
- Advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus
- Experience working with multi-project environments
- Prior experience in infrastructure or road construction projects
