On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic finance team and ensure the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare timely and accurate financial analyses and reports.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, ensuring precision and compliance.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations and compliance checks.
- Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
- Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
- Record and analyze revenues, expenses, and other financial transactions.
- Supervise accounting functions and ensure process consistency across departments.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
- Prepare tax-related reports and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with the Chief Accountant on semi-annual and annual closures.
- Contribute to the enhancement of accounting systems, processes, and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
- Maintain effective communication with managers regarding financial updates and issues.
- Manage vendor accounts and ensure timely settlements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 47 years of professional accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Proven experience with general ledger management and month-end/year-end closing.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Odoo preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and Egyptian Tax Law.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards and audit procedures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of current financial and business trends.
