Position Summary
We are looking for a highly capable Senior Accountant to take full ownership of day-to-day accounting and financial management for our UAE operations. Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, this role requires a hands-on professional who ensures financial accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement in a fast-growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations (AP/AR, bank reconciliations, GL entries, payroll coordination, payments)
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and management reports
- Act as the primary banking contact for payments, KYC requirements, and account operations
- Review VAT and corporate tax reporting and ensure compliance with UAE standards
- Support audits, internal controls, and finance process enhancements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost monitoring
- Review financial terms in supplier and service contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies
- Maintain accurate accounting for fixed assets and operational inventories
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA/CMA is a plus)
- 46 years of accounting experience in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards, tax regulations, and banking procedures
- ERP/accounting systems proficiency
- High accuracy, analytical mindset, and ownership approach
- Preferred: Russian-speaking, though not mandatory
