We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee the accounting and financial operations of our multi-unit Restaurant and Gaming Lounge business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, managing daily transactions, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing processes, and supporting management with financial analysis and business insights across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage the full accounting cycle for multiple business units and locations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Manage daily accounting entries posting and Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, intercompany accounts, and balance sheet schedules.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and chart of accounts.
- Prepare management reports, profitability analysis, and KPI dashboards.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation schedules.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies.
Revenue & Cash Management
- Monitor daily sales reconciliations from multiple restaurant and gaming lounge locations.
- Review POS, gaming system, cash collections, and payment gateway reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and reconciliation of gaming income.
- Ensure accurate recording of cash, card, online, and other revenue streams.
- Monitor cash controls and investigate variances and discrepancies.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions across all business units.
- Review supplier payments, customer receivables, and aging reports.
- Ensure proper approval workflows and payment controls.
- Ensure timely settlement of vendor invoices and collection of outstanding balances.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Maintain strong cash flow management practices.
- Analyze financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Prepare management reports and KPI dashboards for senior management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Oversee inventory accounting and stock reconciliations.
- Monitor food, beverage, retail, and gaming-related inventory controls.
- Analyze food cost, beverage cost, and operational expenses.
- Ensure proper inventory valuation and cost allocation.
- Monitor purchasing procedures and supplier payment schedules.
Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and review UAE VAT returns and supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, consultants, and government authorities.
- Support annual external audits and statutory reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in F&B, hospitality, entertainment, or gaming lounge operations.
- Experience managing accounts for multiple outlets or business units.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems, POS systems, and inventory management software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
