Senior Accountant (German Speaker)

K-Line Europe is seeking a Senior Accountant (German Speaker) to support and manage core accounting activities for our European operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, supporting compliance with German accounting and tax regulations, and contributing to the preparation of financial reports.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in German accounting practices. This position plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting month-end close activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic and growing environment within the aligner market.

General Accounting

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

Month-End & Year-End Close

• Support and execute month-end and year-end closing processes in accordance with accounting standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial transactions.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze financial variances and provide explanations where required.

Compliance & Tax Support

• Ensure compliance with German accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Support the preparation of tax filings, audits, and statutory reporting in coordination with external advisors.

Accounts & Transactions

• Monitor and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense postings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure correct documentation and processing of financial transactions.

Process Improvement

• Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems and ERP tools.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with HR, operations, and management on payroll coordination, expense management, and financial data validation.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 47 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within an international or multinational environment.
• Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken) required.
• Strong understanding of German accounting and tax regulations.
• Experience with:
• German accounting practices and statutory reporting
• Preparation of financial statements
• General ledger management
• Month-end and year-end closing processes
• Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
