Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting and finance, a deep understanding of financial reporting standards, and proven experience in managing full-cycle accounting operations. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the company's financial health, ensuring compliance, and supporting management with accurate financial insights.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Handle VAT filings, payroll processing, and other statutory requirements in a timely manner.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and perform variance analysis to support management decisions.
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
  • Monitor cash flow, expenses, and company financial performance.
  • Maintain accounting controls and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and consolidation across subsidiaries.
  • Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. (professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are a plus)
  • Minimum 5 years of UAE relevant accounting experience, preferably in investment or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and accounting best practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment and proactive.
