For a very well-known multinational company located in Cairo,Egypt, a Senior Financial Reporting & Consolidation Accountant is needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly Financial Packages (Fin. Pack) and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Perform Trial Balance (TB) analysis and reconcile variances against Financial Package results.
- Prepare financial reports and analyses required by banking institutions for credit facility renewals.
- Monitor and follow up on inventory shortages and overweight bookings.
- Prepare Fair Value (FAS 157 / Mark-to-Market) evaluation reports.
- Prepare monthly Positioning Reports at month-end.
- Activate and maintain inventory quantities within the ACTIVE Portal.
- Prepare Actual vs. Budget/Estimate reports and investigate significant variances.
- Conduct month-end Trade Profit & Loss (P&L) reviews and analysis.
- Review month-end pricing and maintain supporting market quotations and documentation.
- Support and maintain SOX compliance, including:
- FSCP 1.11 SOX Controls
- Mark-to-Market (MTM) SOX Controls
- Annual SOX narratives and walkthrough updates.
- Upload and maintain inventory pricing in Logman.
- Prepare additional cost reports and related financial analyses.
- Upload MTM prices into the designated engagement/reporting system.
- Prepare and submit Form 2A and other statutory financial reports.
- Coordinate and fulfill all internal and external audit requirements, ensuring timely submission of requested documentation.
- Perform contracts result reallocations and related financial adjustments.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for Board Meetings and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all external audit requirements related to local legal entities and affiliated companies.
- Manage financial consolidation processes across multiple entities.
- Collect, validate, and consolidate monthly sales reports from various business units.
- Lead and execute the monthly financial closing process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, controls, and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, consolidation, or controlling.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end closing, reconciliations, and consolidation.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Experience with Mark-to-Market (MTM) accounting and financial analysis is an advantage.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent to very good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
