ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end closing, and ensuring compliance with Saudi accounting, VAT, Zakat, and ZATCA requirements. The role will also support financial reporting, audits, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the full accounting cycle and maintain accurate books and records.

• Handle Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, aging, and reconciliations.

• Handle Accounts Payable, including supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations.

• Process and reconcile payroll accounting, employee accruals, and related entries.

• Prepare monthly closing, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and general ledger reconciliations.

• Prepare monthly management reports and financial analysis.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly.

• Prepare WHT, VAT, and Zakat schedules, returns, and supporting files in line with ZATCA requirements.

• Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

• Coordinate with external auditors and provide audit schedules, supporting documents, and explanations.

• Maintain proper accounting documentation, internal controls, and filing.

• Communicate professionally with Arabic- and non-Arabic-speaking clients and stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

Education / Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional certification in Accounting or Finance is an advantage.

Experience

• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in Saudi Arabia and within a service-based company.

• Hands-on experience across the full accounting cycle.

• Strong experience in general ledger, month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Experience with WHT, VAT, Zakat, and ZATCA compliance.

• Experience supporting external audits and preparing financial statements.

• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.

• Experience in payroll accounting and reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and cash accounting.

• Experience with monthly management reporting and account reconciliations.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems.
