Role Overview
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting business decision-making, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. As part of our team in Egypt - Cairo, you'll work in an ONSITE environment where your expertise drives financial excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies swiftly.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Lead internal and external audit preparations and collaborate with auditors.
- Support tax preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Monitor and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.
Must have requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong understanding of Egyptian tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication abilities in English.
Nice to have requirements
- Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent.
- Experience working for multinational companies or in the audit field.
- Advanced knowledge of IFRS or other international accounting frameworks.
