Job Description

Purpose of the Job

Assisting in overall financial planning and control of the real estate function - Budgeting, Forecasting, Variance analysis, etc.

Responsible for the accuracy, reliability and integrity of accounts, and financial statements. Direct supervise and control payable and receivable functions of the company and ensure that related financial reports are prepared and submitted on agreed cutoff dates.

Job Accountabilities

  1. Manage the accounts department of real estate divisions with Leasehold developments, Property development, Asset management and other Real estate businesses.
  2. Assist in the preparation of annual budget, monthly forecasts, financial statements, cash flow forecast against budget, monthly/ quarterly VAT returns etc.
  3. Assist in compliance with CT regulations in line with UAE Corporate Tax Law and file and process the payments on time in line with stipulated regulations.
  4. Assist in managing the leasing module by continuous verification, reconciliation, and improvement of its systems, processes, and applications.
  5. Verify the accounting and period closing transactions, Invoice generation, Leasing reports, payable and receivable invoices, Payments and purchase orders, Ejari Lease contract and collection, Tax accounting, Lease Accounting, Tenant creation etc.
  6. Coordination with bank teams for various banking activities, processing online payments and validating the payments and receipts and assist Management Team for arranging banking facilities for the group entities.
  7. Assist the Management Team to manage the company ERP system and optimize the business processes
  8. Assist in company Risk Management process and coordinate with various parties for establishing business risk mitigation plans
  9. Manage Internal and external audits and any specific assignments given by the management.
  10. Responsible for developing dashboards for various reporting requirements, and managing and designing various reports, monthly and quarterly and annual reports using power BI.
  11. Critically review all the accounting, finance and operating process of business to recommend policies and procedures with internal control perspective in order to
  12. achieve the objectives and goals of organization.
  13. Assist in developing SOP's and establishing workflows and optimizing the SOPs for the business operation.
  14. Lead & manager the accounts team.
  15. Responsible for all payments and receipts for the landlord and accosting for the same.
  16. Assist and support the Management Team for the allocation of financial resources and smooth running of the finance function of the company.
  17. To maintain the confidentiality of the information under possession due to nature of work.
  18. To review and analyze the expenses critically and suggest venues and process to reduce and/ or control cost in various business activities.

Qualifications & Education

Bachelor or Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting. Professional qualification like CA/CPA/CIMA is an added advantage.

Experience

5 - 6 years of experience in similar role with at least 3 years of experience as Assistant Manager Finance role in GCC in any large and reputed organization preferably in real estate industry with reporting too such as power BI.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of Financial reporting and systems, astute in handling audits, budget planning, forecasting and cash management

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage situations promptly and professionally, meeting commitments for service and assistance.

  • Able to maintain effective communication at all times.

  • Analyses complex problems and develops alternative solutions
