SENIOR ACCOUNTANT REAL ESTATE & FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in Real Estate, Property Management, and/or Facilities Management to join our team in Dubai.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end closing, and ensuring effective financial controls across property and facilities-related operations.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, commercial awareness, accuracy, confidentiality, and hands-on experience in the financial activities associated with properties, tenants, service providers, maintenance operations, and facilities management.

• Manage and maintain accurate accounting records for real estate, property management, and facilities management operations.

• Handle and monitor rental income, tenant receipts, receivables, supplier invoices, payments, and other property-related financial transactions.

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

• Perform regular reconciliations of tenant accounts, supplier accounts, bank balances, and other financial records.

• Review and verify invoices, payment requests, supporting documentation, contracts, and related financial transactions prior to processing.

• Monitor outstanding receivables and coordinate with the relevant departments regarding rent collection, tenant balances, and overdue amounts.

• Support accounting activities related to maintenance, facilities management contracts, service providers, and property operating expenses.

• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, schedules, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and provisions.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting entries.

• Assist in budget preparation, cost monitoring, variance analysis, and financial reporting for properties and facilities-related operations.

• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, accounting standards, and internal financial policies and procedures.

• Maintain proper accounting documentation and ensure records are complete, accurate, traceable, and appropriately archived.

• Coordinate with Internal Audit, external auditors, management, and other departments and provide the required financial information and supporting documentation.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity when handling payroll, financial records, contracts, banking information, and other sensitive company information.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong relevant experience as a Senior Accountant or similar accounting position.

• Proven accounting experience within Real Estate, Property Management, and/or Facilities Management in the UAE is highly preferred.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, month-end closing, accruals, prepayments, and financial reporting.

• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.

• Strong understanding of property-related accounting, including rental income, tenant accounts, supplier payments, property operating expenses, and facilities management costs.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.

• Excellent analytical, reconciliation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate effectively with internal departments, tenants, suppliers, auditors, and other stakeholders.
