Senior Accountant – Retail / E-commerce

About the Role

Arkan Marketing is seeking an experienced and highly structured Senior Accountant to manage and control the full accounting cycle across our retail and e-commerce operations.

You will be responsible for financial reporting, cost allocation, expense control, and building structured financial systems to support multi-country operations. This is a control-focused role — not a data-entry position.

We are looking for someone capable of strengthening and structuring accounting processes within a growing operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting across multi-country operations

• Build and maintain a structured Chart of Accounts

• Record and monitor all operating expenses

• Allocate costs properly (COGS vs Operating Expenses)

• Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations

• Track supplier payments, payables, and outstanding balances

• Prepare accurate monthly P&L reports (by business unit / country)

• Monitor cash flow and highlight financial risks

• Coordinate with the supply chain team for landed cost integration

• Ensure proper documentation and internal financial controls

• Support management with financial analysis and reporting

• Ensure VAT compliance and regulatory requirements (if applicable)

• Experience in setting up or restructuring accounting systems is highly preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience (retail or e-commerce preferred)

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and cost allocation

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills

• Experience with accounting systems (QuickBooks, Zoho, Odoo, or similar)

• Strong analytical and structured mindset

• High attention to detail

• Must be living in Qatar

• Ready to join immediately
