Senior Accountant, Singapore
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support finance operations, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement for our Singapore business. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong controls, supporting budgeting activities, and driving efficiency through system and AI-enabled improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting, Control& Compliance
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure timely reporting.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST regulations, and company policies.
- Support preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory filings.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and finance processes.
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Prepare management reports and provide analysis on key financial movements and variances.
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises.
- Monitor cashflow positions and assist with cashflow reporting.
- Track key expenses, project costs, and profitability metrics where applicable.
- Provide timely financial information to support operational decision-making.
Process & System Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting efficiency.
- Support automation and digitization initiatives within the finance function.
- Participate in ERP enhancement, system migration, or reporting improvement projects.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve workflows and strengthen financial governance.
AI & Technology Adoption
- Demonstrate practical use of AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or equivalent) to improve productivity, reporting quality, research, analysis, or documentation.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation within finance processes.
- Support the adoption of technology solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting and financial reporting experience in Singapore.
- Experience handling full sets of accounts, statutory reporting, GST, and audit coordination.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Singapore accounting standards and compliance requirements.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using AI tools to improve productivity or work outcomes will be an advantage.
- Real estate industry experience would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
