We are seeking a Senior Accountant (UAE-N) for one of our prestigious clients in the UAE's governmental sector. The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organised and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
- Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
- Assist with the annual audit process, including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
- Research and analyse expense variances for company management
- Manage daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with internal policies and controls.
- Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis activities.
- Support the Directorate of Finance in strategic financial planning and reporting. Mentor and guide junior accounting staff as required.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
- CPA, CMA, ACCA, IFRS preferred
