Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Handle UAE VAT compliance, including VAT calculations, reconciliations, documentation, and return preparation.
- Support UAE Corporate Tax calculations, compliance, documentation, and filing requirements.
- Perform bank, vendor, customer, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and journal entries.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure accurate depreciation accounting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring, and variance analysis.
- For manufacturing operations, support inventory accounting, costing, stock reconciliation, and cost analysis.
- Coordinate with internal/external auditors and provide required financial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable UAE regulations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records through ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP, or Oracle.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing/industrial companies.
- Strong practical knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
- Experience with Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
- Good understanding of financial reporting, GL accounting, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Manufacturing accounting experience, including inventory and costing, is highly preferred.
- CA / ACCA / CMA / CPA qualification or part-qualification would be an advantage.
