What You'll Do
As a Senior Analyst within BCG's Transactions & Integrations (TI), part of Corporate Finance and Strategy (CFS) practice, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized knowledge assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.) on Mergers & Acquisitions, PMI and Carve-out topics. You will contribute on cases and proposals by contributing relevant analysis and insights and help case teams create strong impact for the client. While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.
You will support commercialization efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, through contributing analysis and insights to proposals, client workshops and marketing materials. Additionally, as a Senior Analyst, you will contribute to developing intellectual property & assets for the business and assist in onboarding and training junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise.
The Transactions & Integrations (TI) business is one of BCG's largest topics and fastest growing practices. With more than 300 M&A, transactions, and post-merger integration professionals worldwide, we help both corporate and private equity clients execute deals efficiently and, more important, maximize value creation. Over the past ten years, we have supported more than 7,000 transactions with a market value of more than $5 trillion.
Our practice supports businesses with end-to-end transaction excellence, including strategic decision making in mergers and acquisitions, preparing, and executing divestitures and joint ventures, supporting IPOs and spinoffs, and creating winning strategies for post-merger integration. We support our clients to create value from transactions, from beginning to the end. TIE interfaces closely with industry and other functional practices and has an important mandate with respect to content development, go-to-market, team building, and marketing.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
- Building and creating detailed business plans and financial models for M&A, divestiture, other corporate transactions and investment cases
- Understanding of the buy-side and sell-side M&A process, including key steps, timelines, documents etc.
- Applying Transaction and Corporate Finance expertise when contributing to product/tool development and deployment, taking different client contexts into account
- Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working
- Communicating with senior stakeholders, in a credible, structured, and confident way
- Framing, structuring, and sharing intellectual property, with the ability to write clearly and concisely
- Working creatively and analytically in a time-limited, problem-solving environment
- Flexibility and bring a curious and creative mindset, open for new things and able to propose innovative ideas
- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of consulting experience in relevant topics (Transactions/M&A, Corporate Finance, Integrations/PMI, Business Separations/Carve-outs, or similar topics) required; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred
- In lieu of consulting experience, 4+ years minimum industry experience required; 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
- Knowledge and experience of new age financial modeling tools (e.g. Anaplan) and advanced excel tools (e.g. Power Pivot) are beneficiary
- Fluency in English; Other languages (e.g. Arabic) are beneficiary
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

As a Senior Analyst, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. Our team is made up of a diverse pool of knowledge positions that allow us to pursue exciting, innovative knowledge careers.
The Transactions & Integrations Vantage Team is comprised of more than 20 analysts globally and deeply embedded in client work as well as the development of publications, IP and tools for the practice area.

The Vantage Team is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. Vantage members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.
BCG's Vantage Team members have the opportunity to be staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
