Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Analyst/ Head who will be covering a multi-asset strategy, such as investing in third-party private-credit funds, direct lending, and liquid income instruments.

The job holder is responsible for the full credit cycle: underwriting, manager due diligence, investment recommendations, portfolio monitoring, and risk reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credit Underwriting & Analysis: Perform in-depth financial analysis (cash flow, leverage, resilience) and create base, downside, and stress-case scenarios to evaluate new investments. Assess pricing, collateral, legal structure, and recovery prospects.
  • Fund Manager Due Diligence: Lead operational and investment due diligence on third-party private credit managers, evaluating team, origination, performance (defaults/recoveries), fees, and conflicts.
  • Investment Committee (IC) Presentation: Prepare clear, concise investment memorandums that outline the recommendation, key risks, mitigants, and monitoring requirements for IC approval.
  • Deal Execution & Legal: Coordinate with internal/external counsel to review legal documentation and ensure all conditions precedent are met prior to funding.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Continuously track borrower/manager performance, including financial results, covenant compliance, valuations, and maturity/refinancing schedules.
  • Risk Management: Maintain early-warning indicators and watchlists, escalating issues and supporting restructuring or recovery efforts as needed.
  • Portfolio Construction: Monitor and manage portfolio concentrations (sector, geography, manager, liquidity) to ensure diversification and alignment with risk appetite.
  • Valuation & Reporting: Support NAV reviews, impairment assessments, and the preparation of periodic reports for Management, the IC, and Investors.
  • Policy & Infrastructure: Contribute to the development of credit policies, underwriting templates, and operational frameworks.
  • Governance: Support the formal IC process without unilateral approval authority ensure compliance with conflicts of interest policies and independent credit review sign-off.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • CFA, CA, CPA, FRM or another relevant professional qualification is advantageous
  • Ability to satisfy applicable fit-and-proper and regulatory requirements
  • 5-15+ years of relevant experience for a Senior Analyst / Head-level appointment candidates with less experience may be considered at Senior Analyst level
  • Relevant background in private credit, direct lending, leveraged finance, corporate or commercial banking, structured or asset-backed credit, real-estate credit, special situations, credit ratings or transaction advisory.
  • Experience preparing credit papers, presenting to a credit or investment committee and reviewing loan documentation, collateral and covenants.
  • Exposure to restructurings, recoveries or private-credit manager due diligence is advantageous.
