Senior Analyst Programmer (Java/Pega)

Role:

. Gather, analyze, and document user/business requirements into functional and technical specifications.

. Perform systems analysis, database design, and application architecture for web-based and enterprise systems.

. Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain Java-based applications and Pega solutions.

. Conduct testing, QA, and post-implementation support to ensure system stability.

. Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and project teams to deliver on scope, timeline, and quality.

. Support existing applications including bug fixes, enhancements, and documentation.

Requirements:

. Minimum 5 years in systems analysis, design, development, implementation, and QA.

. Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

. Good written and verbal communication skills.

. Experience managing project tasks and stakeholder expectations.

. Ability to liaise with external vendors and 3rd party teams.

Technical Skills:

. Core Programming: Java, Java Enterprise Edition, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JSON, SQL.

. Web & API: REST, SOAP, Web Services, AJAX, JSF, Angular / AngularJS, Node.js, jQuery, Struts, Responsive Web Design.

. Pega: PegaRULES Process Commander PRPC, Pega Frameworks, Pega CRM.

. Frameworks & Persistence: Hibernate, JPA, Service Oriented Architecture SOA, Service Component Architecture SCA, Rules Engines

. Databases: MS SQL, DB2, Oracle, MongoDB.

. Application Servers & Web Servers: JBoss / WildFly, WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache HTTP Server, Microsoft IIS.

. IDEs & Tools: Eclipse, JDeveloper, NetBeans, Microsoft Visual Studio, IBM IDz for z/OS, Testing tools.

. Platforms & Environment: Windows Server, Linux, Unix / Solaris, Azure, Azure Spring Apps, Azure DevOps AzDO, CI/CD, Source Control, IBM MQ or other messaging systems, J2EE Platforms.

. Other: Object Oriented Analysis and Design OOADCOBOL, CICS, DB2 experience preferred, Python preferred.

. AI coding tools: Copilot, Amazon Q Developer is preferred.
