Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain advanced Android applications.
- Deliver high-quality, scalable applications for time-sensitive projects while aligning with business requirements.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot, and fix bugs.
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and best practices in development.
- Continuously explore and implement emerging technologies to enhance development efficiency.
- Build intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that align with Google's design principles.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and, when required, lead projects independently.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely delivery.
Qualifications
- 4–5 years of proven experience in Android development.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field (or equivalent).
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin/Java.
- Solid knowledge of OOP, MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Android app components.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and third-party libraries/APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Android frameworks such as Retrofit, Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger Hilt, JUnit, Jetpack components.
- Familiarity with Proguard and Gradle build systems.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, SonarQube, Unit Testing, etc.).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP socket programming, SSL/HTTPS protocols, and secure communication (encryption/decryption).
- Awareness of DevOps practices (added advantage).
- Experience in the Fintech domain is a strong plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
