Key accountabilities and decision ownership: (max of 7 accountabilities not main or daily duties or tasks)
Manage and oversee the full Accounts Payable cycle, including invoice verification, matching, coding, posting, and timely payments in line with internal controls and approval matrices
Lead tax compliance activities, including preparation, review, and submission of VAT, WHT, payroll tax, and other required tax filings to ensure full regulatory compliance
Perform regular AP reconciliations, including vendor statements, accruals, prepayments, and AP aging analysis, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
Maintain accurate tax records, ensuring appropriate documentation, archiving, and audit readiness for all tax-related transactions and reports
Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors, providing required documentation, explanations, and support to ensure smooth annual and periodic reviews
Implement and monitor AP and tax-related internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies
Provide insights on cash-flow related to AP and tax obligations, supporting treasury planning and helping forecast payment timelines and tax liabilities
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 4+ years of experience in AP, tax accounting, or general accounting roles
Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws, including VAT, WHT, Payroll Tax, and Stamp Tax
Experience with ERP systems (Odoo is a strong advantage)
Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
Experience in supporting internal and external audits
