About the Role
The Senior Application Engineer – Manage and organize the work process, Catalogues, IOM, Technical Data, BOM, Design data & Specification sheets. Check & Evaluate selection software. Modify and customize the product as per customer requirement through CRF (Contract review form). Product improvement / New developments, Work order processing. Technical support to sales / Production / After sales and work on product certifications.
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize the work process.
- Responsible for Assigning / Approving of the contract review form, work orders, Modification requests, Item code creations to the members of the team.
- Ensure timely passing of Work Orders and Modification notes to production.
- Monitor & suggest the usage of Ageing and Alternative materials.
- Guide and train team members.
- Ensure availability of accurate tools required for job order processing.
- Prepare Monthly evaluation Report based NCR and its corrective action.
Manage Catalogues, IOM, Technical Data, BOM & Specification Sheets
- Catalogue Preparation, IOM.
- Prepare Technical Data Sheet.
- Prepare Item Specification.
- Prepare Design guidelines, Internal Policy, and Technical Bulletin.
Software
- Check and evaluate new Selection Software and Catalogue Ratings.
- Maintain Supplier software and performance comparison.
- Improve SKM selection/Design software in coordination with Software team.
Contract Review Form (CRF)
- Prepare Technical Data & Drawings for non-standard products.
- Utilize job/CRF history and control any new design.
- Providing Technical data for projects submittals.
- Product improvements / New developments
- Prepare comparison data with competitor's product.
- Source out new components for SKM products which are competitive in price.
- Involvement in the configuration and design of new products with R&D approval.
- Design & Cost optimization.
Support Sales & After Sales
- Provide technical assistance to sales whenever required through training presentation and meetings.
- Assist after Sales for trouble shooting on site problems.
Work Order Processing
- Prepare work order, Estimate BOM and GA drawings with accuracy for production.
- Ensure utilization of the existing stock from Inventory effectively.
- Perform value engineering and make project more profitable.
Work on Product Certifications.
- Prepare the necessary documentation, arrange the required test set ups and coordinate with certifying agency for the certification of SKM product.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical | Electromechanical Engineering
with min 7 years of experience
Knowledge
- HVAC equipment design, testing, and diagnostics.
- Component selection & design for HVAC systems.
- HVAC regulations and standards (regional & international).
Skills & Experience
- Hands-on HVAC application/design experience within an AC manufacturing environment; exposure to process & product improvements.
- Experience with certification of HVAC products to regional/international standards (advantage).
- Leadership and Management skills.
- Communication and problem-solving skills.
- Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power point), AUTOCAD and ERP
