Opportunity: Senior Architect & Master Planning Designer
Our esteemed organization is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect & Master Planning Designer to lead the conceptualization, design, and development of large-scale architectural and master planning projects. The role involves overseeing design processes from concept through detailed design, ensuring alignment with project vision, regulatory requirements, and international best practices. The candidate will act as a key design authority, driving design excellence, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and delivering innovative, high-quality solutions across complex developments.
Position: Senior Architect & Master Planning Designer
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative conceptual designer with strong design vision and innovation capability
- Degree in Architecture (Bachelor's / Master's) from a reputable university
- Minimum 14 years of experience in architectural design and consultancy firms
- Experience with well-known international or regional design offices
- Strong experience in mega-scale / master planning projects and complex developments
- Extensive experience in major hospitality projects (hotels, resorts, mixed-use destinations)
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality projects from concept through construction
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence across multiple project types and scales
- Professional licensure / registration as an Architect preferred
- Additional certifications (e.g., LEED, sustainability, urban design) are an advantage
- Strong leadership background with experience managing and mentoring design teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary coordination (engineering, planning, consultants)
- Experience in master planning, urban design, and large-scale development strategies
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and environmental considerations
Requirements:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Familiar with Saudi codes, regulations, and authority approval processes
- Proficient in relevant design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methods
- Ability to lead projects across all stages (concept, schematic, design development, construction)
- Strong project management skills (budget, schedule, resource planning)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with clients and stakeholders
- Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (engineers, contractors, consultants)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
- Experience in preparing design presentations, reports, and feasibility studies
- Ability to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development capabilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and emerging technologies
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
